Oh great. Another bloody election on the way, and the pollies in power (the Liberals) have sweetened the pot cleverly — aiming to impress the struggling lower-income groups.
It might mean a little more if the tax cuts being offered by Treasurer Costello hadn’t been squeezed from those who can least afford it (the lower-paid workers) rather than big business interests… But that’s what John Howard’s brave new world order is all about.
Like WorkChoices it’s aimed at bringing Australia into line with the good ol’ US of A, or am I just paranoid? I don’t think so.
