Cleana Arena
I”VE A LOT of time for cleaner and gardener Ross Ford. I’ve known him around two years and often shared a cuppa with him in Balmain, where he takes care of several long-term customers.
Ross and Lynette call themselves Cleana Arena, and perform cleaning and gardening services for real estate agents and other customers.
They look after offices, private homes and whole blocks of units. The work involves all the chores you hate to do. These include:
Otto bins: Putting them out, wheeling them back in, disinfecting, washing and cleaning the garbage containers.
Hall and Staircase cleaning: Sweeping or vacuuming the floors and staircases, mopping smooth floors, cleaning other areas such as laundry rooms. These guys even wipe the staircase handrails so they’re spotless, and scrub out minor marks and scuffs on the stairwell walls. These spruce and tidy visits also include some window cleaning as agreed with the customer.
Garden maintenance: Mowing lawns and trimming edges with a brush cutter and removing the clippings. (If you’re wise to organic gardening, Ross will is happy add the clippings to your compost bin instead or use a mulching mower. You just have to ask him.)
